Digitech, Inc. is based in Englewood, CO, which also headquarters AT&T/TCI and Qwest/US West. It is the sixth Largest CLEC (Competitive Local Exchange Carrier) in the U.S., employing approximately 2,000 employees. Digitech offers a vast array of services including local telephone, long distance, resale, and point-to-point. Although Digitech offers residential services, its primary focus is directed at small to mid-sized businesses—where it generates the greatest revenues. Digitech has been in the local telephone service for just over three years and has approximately 125,000 subscriber lines. Its long distance service encompasses 50,000 subscriber lines and has been in existence for one year. Digitech has five 5 ESS switches located in various markets such as: Denver, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; San Jose, California; Nashville, Tennessee; and Birmingham, Alabama. Digitech outsources its OS/DA (Operator Services/Directory Assistance) platform to a company called OSS in Chicago, Illinois. The contract with OSS expires in approximately six months. Re-negotiation and termination of the present contract will be reviewed in this document and Synergistic Solutions will make recommendations based on our research.
