As human beings, a concern for the land and its resources is basic to our survival. Even as individuals and as nations of the world, we cannot live apart and aloof of our planetary home. Our children and the adult population of our planet must be taught that environmental quality and well-being are interdependent. The following educational guides are intended to be supplementary, interdisciplinary and teaching projects directed at providing learning experiences for student s in kindergarten through the eighth grade. The goal of these educational materials is the highest and best use of conservation and the environment of the earth we depend on for our human existence. Students in the present and near future will need to learn how to evaluate choices and thereby make reasonable decisions about their environmental world. The Kindergarten Environmental Activity Story, Trees of the Riparian Area and Cartoons & Bumper Stickers teacher guides will provide the students with a way to learn how to think, not what to think.
