Abstract:
The Capstone project focuses on the managerial and leadership qualities of Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd, comparing to the Toyota Way. Ghosn achieved a spectacular turnaround of the almost dead Japanese automotive manufacturer. He led the company with a revival plan, which was opposed to the traditional Japanese business practices, and created a new multinational corporation culture. The project also evaluates his ability of conducting people in a diversity environment. Through the elements of Ghosn’s leadership characteristics, the Capstone project is one of guidance and an additional reference to global business leaders and strategists, who could employ and create their own leadership skills for effective organizational changes.
